iNNO SED Website Launch
Catch up on our project activities since October before we break for the holidays!
Our iNNO SED Project Website is Now Live!
We are excited to announce the official launch of our iNNO SED project website just in time for the holidays! Our project website will provide an overview of the key aims and objectives of iNNO SED and provide ongoing updates on project activities through our ‘‘News” channel!
Iller Demonstration Site Visit
A key aim of the iNNO SED Project, is to showcase effective and sustainable sediment management solutions, through a series of eight different test sites that are strategically distributed across the Danube River Basin. These sites will encompass various types of rivers with distinct hydrological and sediment features, with a special focus on the Danube, all the way to the Black Sea.
So, we are excited to see that our partners at the Technical University of Munich and LEW have had their first internal meeting and even took some time to visit their Demonstration Sites on the River Iller!
As part of this meeting, our partners discussed the sediment management plan in place at the site, and how the iNNO SED Project will build upon the previous work of the Life-ISOBEL project (which concluded in 2019) to achieve our project goals.
We look forward to working with our colleagues at the LEW over the next 5 years!
Danube Information Services Conference 2024
We would like to congratulate our project partner Albert Scrieciu (GeoEcomar) for presenting on the iNNO SED project at this year's Danube Information Services Conference 2024 (DISC '24), which was held in Varna, Bulgaria (3-4 December)!
DISC is an annual conference organized by “GIS Forum Danube”, that has been running since 2002. The aim of DISC is to bring together waterway management organizations, industry, and waterway users, to facilitate a better understanding of the needs and activities that are connecting parties involved in waterway management and usage.
